During the summer months the Causeway in Naples is jammed packed with people. Chock-full of tourist seeing touristy sights and doing touristy things, filling up their boats with gas and bellies with burgers. The town of Naples and the state of Maine is very grateful for this. But to this lone intrepid photographer, it is the winter months when The Causeway really shines. Monday morning was no exception as Mother Nature threw a stunning sunrise across the sky. The hardest thing in capturing an image such as this is trying to figure out just how close you can get to the ice edge without going through and taking a dip into a very frigid Long Lake. Luckily, I had some interesting ice details that kept me from getting too close.
