Turning Darkness into Light

urning darkness into light.
Here is a four minute long exposure during nautical twilight, which is about one hour before sunrise when it is still quite dark out and you can still see the stars. But if you collect that darkness for four minutes and look at it all at once...the hidden light within can be seen.
Here you have an approaching dawn lighting up some streaming clouds above Pleasant Mountain as house lights and flood lights shine across Moose Pond. The islands, tress, and rocks showing the fresh snowfall are lit up like daylight by the passing traffic during the four minute exposure. Hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed making it!
