Shortly after sunset, with the blue hour clouds still hanging in the background, the slope lights of Shawnee Peak light up the sky in a bathing pink cloud and also reflect calmly on the ice and water below on Moose Pond. I would say Zen and tranquility reigned supreme while shooting this scene if it wasn't for the fact I was hunched over on my knees on jagged rock in the water under a cement bridge while 60 mph Rt. 302 traffic zoomed by overhead! That being said, I captured this image in silence. I hope it conveys the beauty, warmth, and stillness I was feeling and seeing....regardless of the rumblings I had overhead!
