With thunderstorms moving in from the west, I decided to try capturing some lightning at The Causeway in Naples. The storm came right at me straight down Long Lake, and the show was tremendous! To feel the change in the air as the storm got closer and closer was very exhilarating to say the least. I stayed as long as possible, and was running to my truck with my raincoat over my camera as the wall of rain hit and lightning crackling overhead. Super-duper cool photoshoot, especially with the Songo River Queen II afloat.

I know it will be asked, so here it is. This is a two image blend, each one a four second exposure. The two shorter strikes were on one shot and soon after I got the shot with the two longer strikes. Incredible experience!
