This mornings sunrise was a burner! About an hour before, I was creeping up to the ice edge on Long Lake at The Causeway in Naples. It's always a bit nerve-racking getting as close as possible. Luckily, there was a spring fractal in the ice that kept me at a safe distance. I love taking this shot, as the bubblers run under the pier constantly, keeping the ice away. I'm a sucker for reflection shots in the winter. A simple man, an even simpler photographer, capturing winter reflections in open water next to an ice line brings me joy. This morning, the sky decided to go epic. It seemed the air itself was pink. I would have been jumping for joy, but I didn't want to end up in the deep, frigid water. That would have spoiled everything!
