~ Northern Lights at Scarborough Marsh ~ I went down to the marsh early Wednesday morning to shoot the Milky Way along the Eastern Trail at the foot bridge and was clicking away having a blast when I turned around and saw the sky filled with white spikes! Absolutely the brightest display of Aurora I have ever seen. I did the best I could while the spikes lasted, my hands were actually shaking I was so excited! The blazing white light sky glow on the right is Portland, I can't image what this would have looked like under dark skies to the North. I did not make any vibrance or saturation adjustments at all, I tried getting the blue tint out of the stars, but that kept messing with the Aurora display, so in the end, I adjusted the lights and darks and tried to tame the glow from Portland. I finally caught some green ribbon! Very exciting!
